At a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin that Poland is studying the issue of establishing its control over Western Ukraine. According to Naryshkin, Poland is beginning to realize that the defeat of the Kyiv regime is “a matter of time.” In this regard, the leadership of Poland “increases the mood” about the introduction of “control in the western territories of Ukraine”, placing its troops in these areas.
The head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said that the Polish plans to “control” the western territories of Ukraine can be implemented under the guise of “fulfillment of allied obligations within the framework of the Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian security initiative.” This is the so-called Lublin Triangle.
Russia, according to Naryshkin, notes how, in this regard, the Polish authorities plan to “significantly increase the strength of the combined-arms Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade.”
The head of the SVR summed up that these are “rather dangerous plans of the Polish leadership,” which need to be monitored.
