Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the inclusion of the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gennady Krasnikov, in the Security Council of the Russian Federation. Document published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Mr. Krasnikov was elected President of the RAS on September 20, 2022. In December 2022 he has entered to the government expert council. Since 2021, he has been a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Now he is also the scientific director of the molecular electronics research center of JSC NIIME.
65-year-old Gennady Krasnikov is a scientist in the field of physics of semiconductor devices. He became an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2008. From 2019 to 2022, he was Academician-Secretary of the Department of Nanotechnologies and Information Technologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
