Russian President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council, which discussed security issues in the military sector, transmits Kremlin press office.
“Today we have security issues on the agenda in the truest sense of the word – in the military direction. The speaker is Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu,” the head of state said.
The last time members of the Security Council held a meeting on July 15. Then the president suggested discussing the situation in the regions. The FSB director Alexander Bortnikov and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev acted as speakers. On July 1, members of the Security Council discussed the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex, the press service of the presidential administration noted.
