Putin granted Vardanyan's request to renounce Russian citizenship

President Vladimir Putin satisfied the statement of the head of the government of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Ruben Vardanyan on renunciation of the citizenship of the Russian Federation. Document published on the official portal of legal information.

The same decree granted a petition to renounce Russian citizenship for five more people, including businessman Konstantin Sidorov (works in the UK, known for his work in IT companies Inline Technology Group, RRC Group and others).

In early September, Ruben Vardanyan informed about the intention to renounce Russian citizenship and move to Nagorno-Karabakh. After that, the head of the NKR Arayik Harutyunyan offered Mr. Vardanyan to take the post of head of the government of the republic. On November 4, Ruben Vardanyan took office.
