Putin expressed condolences on the death of Alexander Shirvindt

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to the relatives of People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Shirvindt. He died in a Moscow hospital, today, March 15 at the age of 89 years.
“He will send a telegram of condolences to his family and friends,” a Kremlin spokesman told reporters.
Alexander Shirvindt led the Moscow Satire Theater for 21 years, and then was appointed its president. He played 64 roles in the theater, including the plays “An Ordinary Miracle”, “The Inspector General”, “Woe from Wit”, “Little Comedies of the Big House”. As a director, he participated in the creation of more than 30 productions.
