Putin established the title of Honored Worker of the Penitentiary System

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on the establishment of the honorary title “Honored Worker of the Penitentiary System of Russia.” It will be awarded to employees of pre-trial detention centers, colonies and prisons for their services in the execution of criminal penalties.
The document states that the title is awarded with at least 20 years of experience in the relevant field and the presence of other awards. The decree was signed on the eve of the Day of the Penitentiary System Worker – March 12.
The title will also be awarded for the execution of preventive measures in the form of detention and house arrest. In addition, it will be awarded for services in training personnel, ensuring law and order and legality in institutions of the system.
