Russian President Vladimir Putin ended the announcement of the message to the Federal Assembly with the words “the truth is behind us.” The Russian president’s speech lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes.

“Today we are going through a difficult, difficult path together. And we overcome all difficulties together. Warriors from all regions are now fighting on the front lines. Their prayers are heard in different languages, but they are all for victory, for comrades-in-arms, for their homeland,” Vladimir Putin said.

“Russia will respond to any challenges, because we are all one country, one big and united people. We are confident in ourselves, confident in our abilities. The truth is behind us,” the head of state summed up, after which the Russian anthem was played.

It was the 18th message to the Federal Assembly. It took place in the Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. In his speech, Vladimir Putin touched upon the topic of a special military operation and support for its participants, the Russian economy, social support measures, and also announced the suspension of Russia’s participation in the New START Treaty.
