Putin dismissed Girichev, deputy director of the Federal Penitentiary Service – Kommersant

President Vladimir Putin dismissed Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service and Lieutenant General of the Internal Service Alexei Girichev from his post. There is a decree on website legal acts. According to TASS sources, Alexey Girichev submitted his resignation due to a transfer to another job. What kind of work this is is not specified.

Alexey Girichev was appointed deputy director of the Federal Penitentiary Service in March 2023. Before that, since 2018, he headed the department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Voronezh region, and since 2020, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Vladimir region. Alexey Girichev received the rank of lieutenant general of the internal service by presidential decree of December last year.
