Putin discussed with Pashinyan the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh by phone

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. About it told in the Kremlin.
The Kremlin specified that the conversation took place on the initiative of the Armenian side.
“The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed, including issues of ensuring unhindered transport links along the Lachin corridor. The fundamental importance of the consistent implementation of the entire set of agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020-2022 was emphasized,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
Putin said that Russia is ready to continue to provide practical assistance in the development of the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty, the Kremlin stressed.
The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh escalated again in 2022, and the State Border Guard Service of Azerbaijan installed a checkpoint in the Lachin corridor, on the only road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia. On May 25, 2023, Pashinyan and Aliyev, mediated by Putin, discussed the relations between the two countries in the Kremlin, but did not adopt a joint statement at the end of the day. According to Aliyev, after Armenia’s statements on the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, the issue of agreeing on the points of the peace treaty will go “much easier.”
On June 28, Washington hosted a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of both countries and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. During the talks, they discussed the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of undermining efforts for a peaceful settlement.
