Putin discussed events in the Gaza Strip with the President of Egypt

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi had a telephone conversation on Tuesday, November 14. Politicians agreed to intensify international efforts for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
As the representative of the Egyptian leader clarified, Vladimir Putin called him to discuss the latest events in the Gaza Strip. Politicians discussed Cairo’s efforts to de-escalate the region.
Putin and al-Sisi also spoke about actions to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave and evacuate foreign citizens and injured Palestinians from there.
Meanwhile, two planes carrying Russian citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip have already been sent from Cairo to Moscow. About 70 Russians were transported to the capital’s Domodedovo airport on the first flight, and on the second flight there were almost a hundred passengers.
Most of the evacuees from Gaza who arrived in Russia will be placed in a temporary accommodation center in Volokolamsk, near Moscow. People will be accommodated in one of the sanatoriums, where they will provide comfortable conditionsemphasized the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
The Russian authorities assured that the removal of fellow citizens will continue until all Russians who wish to evacuate are removed from the hot spot.
