President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to increase presidential scholarships to 30 thousand rubles. The head of state timed the increase in payments to coincide with the celebration of Russian Students’ Day.
“Now the presidential scholarship will be 30 thousand rubles. I know that the government is now thinking about increasing the level of government scholarships. The government scholarship will be around 20 thousand rubles,” the president said at a meeting with students at the Student House of the Baltic Federal University. The Presidential scholarship for young scientists and graduate students amounts to 22,800 thousand rubles. Candidates for receiving it can be undergraduate and graduate students under 35 years of age who have scientific works published in leading peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Presidential scholarship in the amount of 7 thousand rubles. and 14 thousand rubles. it is also paid to students and graduate students studying in specialties corresponding to the priority areas of modernization and technological development of the Russian economy.
