President Vladimir Putin decided on the participation of those mobilized until the end of the military operation, says military correspondent Alexander Sladkov. According to him, Mr. Putin said this during a previous meeting with military officers. Last time Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin with war correspondents on June 13.
“Everyone fights until the end of the Northern Military District. Many families ask me to comment on this situation. What should I comment on? I asked this question (demobilization and, if possible, replacement of fighting units and sending them to permanent deployment points) to the President of Russia at his last meeting with reporters. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief replied that the decision had been made on the participation of those mobilized until the end of the SVO,” Mr. Sladkov wrote in Telegram.
He admitted that many relatives of those mobilized “have a hard time coming to terms with this reality.” As the military correspondent clarified, until the end of the military operation, those who voluntarily entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defense, as well as volunteers from the Redoubt corps and prisons, will serve.
Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization on September 21, 2022. On October 31, he announced its end, but did not sign a separate decree. The Russian Ministry of Defense said that during this time 300 thousand people were called up.
