Putin: current problems began after the collapse of the USSR

All modern problems began after the collapse of the USSR. Such an opinion expressed Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with employees of the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant.

“All the problems started after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Why? Because the world was created and the world order – and it still has a place to be – it was created after the Second World War by the countries that won the Second World War. First of all, the United States and the Soviet Union,” the head of state said, answering a question from one of the employees of the aviation plant.

Putin notedthat after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the system of the bipolar world began to “crack”.

“Frankly, for people of my generation <…> or a little younger, it seemed to us, and it also seemed to me that yes, the Soviet Union collapsed, sorry – not sorry, but nevertheless, the basis for the confrontation of the former Soviet Union and the new Russia with the Western world – they disappeared these foundations, the ideological foundations for confrontation No. It seemed that now everything will be fine and forever. It turned out that this is not the case,” the president continued.

March 14 Vladimir Putin arrived in Ulan-Ude. During this trip, the head of state visited Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant. As part of his working visit to Buryatia, the president also plans to hold a meeting via videoconference on the implementation of the Far Eastern cities development program, as well as meet with the head of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov.

In September last year, Putin declaredthat the West is looking for new ways to ruin Russia, doom its people to poverty and extinction. The Russian president emphasized that the West is striving to do everything possible to preserve the neo-colonial system in the world. According to him, Western countries “remove rent as a hegemon” and therefore it is so important for them that all states “surrender sovereignty in favor of the United States.”

At a meeting with historians and representatives of traditional religions of the Russian Federation in November 2022, Putin declaredthat Western countries have been interfering in the internal affairs of Ukraine since the collapse of the Union, bringing the wick to the collapse of Russia. According to him, in the decades after the collapse of the USSR, “Ukraine went through the path of direct, overt interference by Western countries in its internal affairs” and they tried to do the same with Russia. Putin noted that in Ukraine “it was possible to introduce” pseudo-values ​​into the minds of people and actually made “anti-Russia” out of the country.

At the same time, at the end of October last year, Putin, during his speech at a meeting of the Valdai discussion club, saidthat Russia does not consider itself an enemy of the West. According to him, Russia does not challenge the elites of the West, but defends its right to exist. The head of state stressed that Russia was trying to improve relations with the West and NATO.
