Russia has called on the UN Security Council to support a resolution to establish a commission to investigate the sabotage of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. This appeal is contained in a letter from the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, to the chairmen of the UN General Assembly and Security Council, and the UN Secretary General.
The UN Security Council resolution, according to Nebenzya, will ensure that the truth about the pipeline incident is established. Nebenzya called on the member countries of the UN Security Council to become co-sponsors of the resolution.
Meanwhile, the authorities of Germany, Denmark, Sweden rejected Russia’s call for cooperation to investigate the incidents at Nord Stream.
