Putin congratulated Xi Jinping on his 70th birthday

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 70th birthday of the Chinese leader. About it reported in the press service of the Kremlin.
“Under your leadership, the People’s Republic of China has achieved impressive success: the national economy is showing steady growth, the well-being of citizens is increasing, and Beijing’s position on the world stage is strengthening. <...> I sincerely wish you, dear friend, good health, happiness, prosperity and success in your state activities,” the telegram says.
Putin also expressed hope for continued bilateral dialogue and close joint work on a number of issues for the benefit of Russia and China. The head of state noted that Xi Jinping’s state visit in March this year “given a powerful impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in key areas.”
Xi Jinping was in Moscow on an official visit from March 20 to 22. Putin named past negotiations constructive and successful. Following the talks, the leaders of Russia and China signed a number of statements. In particular, a document was adopted on a plan for the development of key areas of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation until 2030.
