Putin congratulated Kadyrov and all residents of Chechnya on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the republic

President Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation congratulated Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the republic. In a telegram, Mr. Putin congratulated all residents of Chechnya on this date.

Noting that Chechnya is “the birthplace of skilful craftsmen and fearless warriors,” the President declared the commitment of Chechens to the high ideals of patriotism. “And today, in the course of a special military operation, the Chechen heroes show valor and exceptional courage, defending Russia shoulder to shoulder with their comrades,”— declared congratulatory telegram Vladimir Putin.

Shortly before September 6, Mr. Kadyrov declaredthat his “time has come”. According to the head of the republic, his youth is gone and “we will try to leave in time.” Later Ramzan Kadyrov declaredthat he has no right to leave his post “just like that” without asking the people and the president. Mr. Kadyrov has been in charge of Chechnya since 2007.

Former Head of the Republic notedthat the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Chechen autonomy is an important historical date in the modern history of the Chechen people.

The Chechen Autonomous Region was formed on November 30, 1922 from the Chechen National Okrug of the Mountain ASSR. The center of the region was the city of Grozny, which was not part of the region until 1929.
