Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree amending the composition of the Human Rights Council (HRC). Document text published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
In particular, the new composition of the HRC included a special war correspondent of Komsomolskaya Pravda Alexander Kots, a member of the Free Donbass presidium Elena Shishkina, the head of the regional executive committee of the All-Russian Popular Front Yulia Belekhova and others.
At the same time, 10 people were expelled from the HRC, including journalists Yekaterina Vinokurova and Nikolai Svanidze, Ivan Zasursky, former head of the Department of New Media at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, human rights activist Igor Kalyapin, and others. Among those expelled are Andrei Babushkin, Maria Bolshakova and Galina Osokina.
