Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on his return from Indonesia, where the G20 summit was held, that Russia and the United States had agreed to refrain from using nuclear weapons.

According to the Turkish leader, he received this information from the intelligence chief.

“At the moment, both sides will not make any attempt to use nuclear weapons,” Erdogan said.

He did not provide any details. However, it is known that at the beginning of the week, the head of the CIA, William Burns, met in Ankara with the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin. According to the CNN television channel, at this meeting, a possible exchange of US citizens convicted in Russia and nuclear risks were discussed. At the same time, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stated that he had nothing to say about the content of these negotiations.
