Putin outlined the timing of the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus
Russian nuclear weapons will be deployed in Belarus after the preparation of facilities for them is completed. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Sochi.
The President of Russia noted that the preparation of the infrastructure for the deployment of nuclear weapons would be completed on 7-8.
“And we will immediately begin measures related to the deployment of appropriate types of weapons on your territory. So everything is according to plan, everything is stable,” he said.
At the end of March, Putin announced that Moscow, at the request of Minsk, would deploy its tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of the republic.
Earlier, Russia has already handed over to Belarus the Iskander missile system, which can be a carrier of nuclear weapons, and assisted in the conversion of Belarusian aircraft so that they can be used to use special munitions.
