The development of healthcare in general is the responsibility of the state, and everything that concerns the health of children is its sacred duty. This statement was made on Friday, February 2, by Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The head of state took part in the opening of oncology centers in Tomsk, Ufa and Yakutsk via video link, and before the start of the event, the head of state briefly talked with the staff of the Tula Regional Clinical Oncology Center, where the ceremony was held.
Speaking about caring for children, Vladimir Putin assured that “we will continue to work in this direction, of course.”
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin launched the Year of the Family, noting that the decision to hold it was made to popularize state policy in the field of protecting the family and preserving traditional family values. The Russian leader called the family in general and large families in particular the pillar of our country.
The President also signed a decree that determines benefits for large families and secures their status. Social support measures will be available to families raising three or more children until the eldest child reaches the age of 18 or 23 years, provided that he is a full-time student at a university or college.
