President Vladimir Putin announced Russia’s readiness to share achievements in the field of pedagogy. At the same time, he called it unacceptable the imposition of “patterns in the field of education and upbringing” by other countries.
“Russia is ready to generously share the achievements of domestic pedagogy, which predetermined the scientific and technological development of our country. Such a lively, honest exchange of ideas and original approaches is very important. At the same time, we consider it unacceptable when sovereign states are sometimes rudely and unceremoniously imposed, trying to impose some other people’s patterns, including in the field of education and upbringing,” Mr. video message to the participants of the first International Forum of Ministers of Education.
The head of state said that Moscow supports the rights of every people, country and “every unique civilization on all continents to preserve their identity, ensure the continuity of generations, and preserve traditional spiritual and moral values.”
The President noted that in Russia over 20 years the modernization of “the entire education system” has been carried out. All children, he said, have equal access to free high-quality pre-school, general and additional education. According to Mr. Putin, the Russian Federation has “one of the most effective systems in the world for identifying, supporting and developing the abilities and talents of children and young people.”
