Putin: Russia will extend grain deal when promises are fulfilled
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia intends to think about extending the grain deal. He noted that there are still a couple of days. The statement was made in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.
“We will extend it exactly at the moment when the promises given to us are fulfilled,” Putin said.
At the same time, Putin noted that so far nothing has been done for Russia within the framework of the Istanbul agreements, he compared the situation with “a one-sided game.” According to him, “we voluntarily extended the grain deal many times, enough in the end.”
Putin also said that in the draft agreement between Moscow and Kiev “security guarantees” for Ukraine were very tightly set out, but the project “was then thrown into the trash by the Ukrainian regime.” According to the President of the Russian Federation, Russia is not against discussing security issues for Ukraine, but on condition that the security of the Russian Federation is ensured.
