Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Prosecutor General’s Office to tighten anti-crime measures, including in the field of migration. The head of state announced this at a meeting of the GP board.

Putin noted that last year there was a slight increase in some types of crimes. He asked to carefully analyze the situation and think through a system of additional, preventive, prophylactic and other anti-crime measures.

Putin instructed the Prosecutor General’s Office to understand the situation together with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other law enforcement agencies.
