Putin called F-16 fighter jets sent to Ukraine a legitimate target for Russia
During a working visit to Torzhok on March 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his opinion regarding the supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine from Western countries.
According to the president, the Russian military will be able to destroy any enemy military equipment, be it tanks, planes or fighters. Even if Western countries supply F-16 fighters to Ukraine, this will not change the situation on the battlefield, Putin emphasized.
“If these fighters are used from airfields of other countries, they will become a legitimate target for us, regardless of their location,” Putin said, answering a question about the possibility of destroying Ukrainian F-16s at NATO airfields if they were used from there.
