Putin: building a multipolar world order is inevitable

Getting rid of dictatorship, whose goal is to turn other countries into economic colonies, as well as building a fair multipolar world order is inevitable. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the plenary session “Conversation on equal terms”, which takes place as part of the finals of the III International Olympiad on Financial Security on the territory of Sirius in Sochi.

Putin emphasized that the world is gradually getting rid of the financial and economic model that is trying to drive into debt, bondage, turn into economic colonies, and deprive entire regions of the world of resources for development.

“I think you will agree: few people will like this future. And therefore, the process of building a multipolar world order, more democratic, honest, and fair for the majority of humanity, is simply inevitable and historically necessary,” the president emphasized.

According to Putin, modern technologies provide citizens and entrepreneurs with new opportunities to create strong economic foundations for such a world order. States also have the opportunity to create and support public and financial institutions that reflect the new reality of a multipolar world, and to develop more convenient and secure international payment systems.

That the current global financial system works in the interests of the “golden billion”, Putin stated at the first parliamentary conference “Russia – Latin America”. According to the president, the leaders of these states exploit almost all other countries in the world and abuse their positions. He suggested thinking about changes, since the current loan obligations have become “quitrent” and “indemnity”. He also notedthat Latin American countries are successful in forming a multipolar system of international relations that is based on equality, justice, respect for international law and each other’s legitimate interests.
