Dutch Defense Minister calls aid to Ukraine a “cheap way” to weaken Russia

Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren, during her speech at the International Security Forum in Warsaw, discussed the “benefits” that Western countries derive from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and called for continued support for Kiev.
“It is very much in our interests to support Ukraine. Because they are fighting this war, not us… Supporting Ukraine is a very cheap way to ensure that Russia and this regime cease to be a threat to NATO allies,” she said.
Therefore, according to Ollongren, it is “vital” for the West to continue providing group assistance to Ukraine.
