Putin awarded the title of Hero of Russia to the deceased foreman Almaz Safin

Russian President Vladimir Putin posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Russia to foreman Almaz Safin for heroism in the line of military duty. Document published on the Kremlin website.

“For courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty, to award the title of Hero of the Russian Federation to Sergeant Safin Almaz Minigaleevich (posthumously),” the document says.

Putin has repeatedly said that he considers all servicemen participating in the special operation to be heroes. In particular, on December 8, 2022, he addressed to those in the war zone. “I also want to appeal to those who are on the front lines: for me, for all our fellow citizens, each of you is a hero,” he said during the ceremony of awarding the Gold Star medals to the Heroes of Russia.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu December 21, 2022 pointed outthat during the special operation 120 people received the title of Hero of Russia. In total, more than 100,000 people received state awards.
