Putin awarded the title of Hero of Russia to test cosmonaut Korsakov

President Vladimir Putin awarded test cosmonaut Sergei Korsakov the title of Hero of Russia. According to the text decree, the award was given for courage and heroism demonstrated during a long flight on the International Space Station (ISS). By the same decree, Mr. Korsakov was awarded the honorary title of pilot-cosmonaut.
39-year-old Sergei Korsakov is a flight engineer of the expedition to the ISS, which launched on March 18, 2022 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Together with him, cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveev went to the ISS. The astronauts stayed at the station for 195 days and returned to Earth on September 29, 2022.
