Russian President Vladimir Putin, by his decree, awarded the medal “For Courage” to a 10-year-old boy, Fyodor, who was wounded during an attack by the Ukrainian DRG on the territory of the Bryansk region. The corresponding order is published on official Internet portal of legal information.
The presidential decree states that Fyodor Simonenko, a student of the Novoropsk secondary school in the Klimovsky district of the Bryansk region, was awarded a medal “for courage, bravery and dedication shown in the performance of civic duty.”
It is noted that the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, previously announced his intention to send the boy to the Suvorov School after graduation.
