Putin awarded general ranks to 67 military and department employees

President Vladimir Putin awarded special ranks of senior command and senior officer ranks to 67 military and departmental employees. Among them are military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the National Guard, as well as employees of the Federal Fire Service (FPS), the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) and the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).

According to decree, the rank of lieutenant general was awarded to eight servicemen of the Armed Forces, the rank of major general – to 20 servicemen, the rank of rear admiral – to four, the rank of vice admiral – to one serviceman, Alexander Peshkov. Among the military personnel of the National Guard, the rank of lieutenant general was awarded to six soldiers, and the rank of major general to seven soldiers. The rank of police lieutenant general was awarded to two members of the National Guard troops, and two more were awarded the rank of major general.

Two FPS employees were awarded the rank of major general of internal service. Three FSIN employees received the rank of lieutenant general of the internal service, four received the rank of major general of the internal service. Two FSSP employees received the rank of lieutenant general of the internal service, six employees received the rank of major general of the internal service.
