Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina the title of Hero of Russia. The presidential decree was posted on website official publication of legal acts.

The document states that the titles were awarded “for courage and heroism demonstrated during a long-term space flight on the International Space Station.” By the same decree, Mrs. Kikina received the honorary title “Pilot-Cosmonaut of the Russian Federation.”
