Putin argued with Minnikhanov about the construction of roads in Tatarstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov the socio-economic situation in the region. During the working meeting, the president questioned Mr. Minnikhanov’s statement about the absence of problems in the construction of roads in the republic.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his desire to share the results of the road works with Vladimir Putin. However, the president interrupted his report (dialogue on site Kremlin):
– One of the problems of the republic, right? Mr Putin asked.
— There are no problems, — the head of Tatarstan answered.
– Not? I looked at the mood of the people, the president disagreed.
The head of Tatarstan explained that people’s remarks are connected with high demands on the work of local authorities. “People are right in expecting us: if we have done it, it means that not everything has been done yet, we need to work even better. Therefore, people are waiting: why is there, and we have gravel, and not asphalt? This is normal,” Mr. Minnikhanov added.
Rustam Minnikhanov also spoke about the construction of the M-12 highway, bridges across the Volga and Kama, and a road to Almetyevsk. According to Mr. Minnikhanov, “everything is going according to plan, according to schedules”, the process is “strictly controlled” by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“Yes, there is a big difference between what was and what is becoming,” agreed Vladimir Putin.
In addition, according to the head of Tatarstan, the program of resettlement of citizens continues in the region, 841 people received new housing. In total, 112 billion rubles were invested in social infrastructure.
