Putin Appoints Kotyakov Acting Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory

President Vladimir Putin appointed Mikhail Kotyakov, former Deputy Minister of Finance and ex-head of the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations, as Acting Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, transmits Kremlin press office. The head of state also resigned the current governor of the region Alexander Uss.
“To appoint Mikhail Mikhailovich Kotyukov as the acting governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory until the person elected governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory takes office,” the decree signed by the president says.
The press service noted that the decision is connected with Uss’s statement about the early termination of his powers.
Putin previously met with Kotyukov via videoconference. The President began the conversation by saying: Kotyukov himself comes from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, worked there for many years and grew to the position of Deputy Governor of the region (in 2007-2010), so he “does not need to be told what the Krasnoyarsk Territory is.” Kotyukov assured Putin that he would use all his potential and opportunities to solve urgent issues for the inhabitants of the region.
