Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a speech at Valdai in Sochi, answered the question “where Russia will stop in the Northeast Military District.”
“Where should we stop? It’s not about territories. It’s about guarantees of Russia’s security. This is much more important than some territories,” Putin said, noting the question of RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan.
He also added that he is “afraid to talk” about this with her husband, director and TV program host Tigran Keosayan, because “if he is not an extremist, then a person of extreme convictions.” But he added that he would still discuss this topic with Simonyan herself.
