Putin announced the need to promote local brands in the regions

Each region should have its own programs to promote local brands, this is the beginning of the path to national and global recognition. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking during the forum of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).

“We need to help Russian manufacturers, as they say, to get promoted so that we have our own trademarks, which the country can and will be proud of, which will be recognizable not only in Russia, but also in the world as a whole. <...> Each region should have its own programs for promoting local brands. This is an important line of work. In cities, the path of local brands to the all-Russian and global scale begins,” he said.

According to Putin, the support of the regions is of key importance. The President stressed that the market for the distribution of Russian goods is “incredibly large, colossal” – these are the countries of the CIS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa). “Everything is done gradually, step by step. Let’s start with the closest neighbors, the CIS countries, then the SCO and BRICS countries. The market is incredibly large,” the head of state stressed.

Speaking at the plenary session SPIEF June 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin urged regional leaders to promote emerging brands. According to him, in 2022, the investments of Russian companies in fixed assets increased in real terms. Growth continued this year, even “taking into account the high base of last year, when over the same period investments showed double-digit growth rates,” the head of state added.
