Putin announced Kim Jong-un’s interest in rocket technology

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has shown a keen interest in rocket technology as North Korea seeks to develop space exploration. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this during a meeting with Kim Jong-un.
“That’s why we came here (to the Vostochny cosmodrome – Vedomosti). The leader of the DPRK shows great interest in rocket technology, they are also trying to develop space,” he said (quote according to TASS).
The Russian President noted that Russia is proud of the development of its space industry. Answering the question about whether the topic of military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and the DPRK will be raised during the negotiations, Putin said: “We will talk about all issues slowly. There is time.”
Kim Jong-un arrived in Russia on September 12. At Khasan station in the Primorsky Territory he met Russian officials, including the head of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, Alexander Kozlov, and the Governor of the Primorsky Territory, Oleg Kozhemyako.
September 13 Kim Jong-un Meets with Putin at the Vostochny cosmodrome. Negotiations between the two leaders will take place there. The meeting will also be attended by the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov and Deputy Prime Minister – Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Far Eastern District Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Ministers Denis Manturov and Alexey Overchuk, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and others.
