Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko held a working meeting at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg. They discussed cooperation in the field of the military-industrial complex, taking into account the military operation in Ukraine. We discussed many problems, thought about how to develop further, what systems we will develop taking into account the experience of a special military operation,” Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting.

Before the meeting Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin participated on video at the opening ceremony of the new wintering complex of the Russian Vostok station in Antarctica. Therefore, at the meeting, Vladimir Putin raised the topic of cooperation with Belarus in Antarctica. Yesterday, January 27, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko took part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad.
In general, according to Vladimir Putin, relations with Belarus are developing “energetically.” He said that trade turnover between the states from January to October 2023 amounted to $42.5 billion and is constantly growing. Vladimir Putin also noted that Russia has invested $4 billion in the Belarusian economy.
