Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree concerning decision-making in large Russian joint-stock companies. According to the approved temporary procedure, the management bodies of JSCs in the field of energy, engineering and trade will be able to make decisions without taking into account the votes of shareholders from unfriendly countries.
As specified, we are talking about companies against whose owners or beneficiaries sanctions have been imposed by other countries or international organizations.
The new rules apply if a foreign shareholder owns less than 50 percent of the share in the authorized capital of the company.
