The apartment of Pussy Riot member Rita Flores was searched in connection with the criminal case of the publisher of Mediazona (recognized as a foreign agent) Pyotr Verzilov (recognized as a foreign agent) on the spread of fakes about the RF Armed Forces (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). This was announced by lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov in his Telegram channel.
During the search, Rita Flores seized all the equipment. She was also summoned for questioning on December 19 as a witness.
On November 2, 2022, RT, Telegram channels Shot and Baza reported that Pyotr Verzilov became a defendant in a criminal case on the spread of fakes about the Russian army. The publisher’s lawyer, Leonid Solovyov, said that they learned about the criminal case from Telegram channels. December 13 search in this case passed from his mother Elena Verzilova.
Pyotr Verzilov left Russia in 2020 after a series of searches at his and his family’s homes. In the same year, a criminal case was opened against him under Art. 330.2 of the Criminal Code (“Failure to fulfill the obligation to submit a notification of foreign citizenship”). Mr. Verzilov is on the federal wanted list.
