The head of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy Alexei Pushkov in his Telegram channel gave parting word European politicians in the coming year 2023.
The Russian senator noted that in a number of European capitals there is a growing understanding that it will not be possible to ensure the security of Europe without Russia. However, while such statements do not sound too loud.
“If European leaders are really concerned about the fate of their countries and the entire continent, they need to start leading Europe out of a state of acute psychosis in the New Year. Correct decisions are not made in this state,” Pushkov wrote.
He also added that so far, hysteria and pre-war tensions are reigning in the united Europe, and all its efforts are directed against the Russian Federation.
“But Russia is not aiming at war, it is from the NATO countries that militant impulses are coming in our direction. And, as it has happened more than once in European history, the thirst for conflict will not bring good to Europe,” the senator stressed.
