Pushkov proposes punishing trash streams with minors for two years in prison

Imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to two million rubles for conducting trash streams with the participation of minors is proposed to be enshrined in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, said Alexei Pushkov, head of the Federation Council commission on information policy and interaction with the media.
The proposal will be discussed on Tuesday, April 4, at a meeting in the State Duma on the regulation of thrash streaming in Russia.
The Committee of the State Duma on Youth Policy will take care of the event.
“We are talking about the distribution of selfish or hooligan motives on the Internet, photos and videos depicting illegal acts committed with particular cruelty,” Pushkov explained. He added that a fine of up to 1 million rubles is proposed for this, and a fine of up to 2 million rubles or imprisonment for up to 2 years for involving minors in trash streams. He recalled that popular trash streamers themselves often boasted that in as donations receive up to 1.5-2 million rubles a month.
