Pushkov: in Europe, the diversity of opinions left “horns and legs”

The pluralism of opinions in Europe is practically destroyed, with the exception of Hungary, Aleksey Pushkov, Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy, wrote on his Telegram channel.

“In the leading countries of the West, the liberal dictatorship has been operating for 15 years now, when the pluralism of opinions is burned out by the red-hot iron of the liberal media and the “culture of oblivion,” Pushkov wrote.
He also recalled the policy of the American media and global Internet giants against former US President Donald Trump, calling it a “quasi-total conspiracy.” As an example, he cited a Trump campaign poster that read, “They don’t really want me, they want you. I’m just standing in their way.” The poster has been blocked by Twitter.
“In Europe, almost everyone who stood “in their way” was politically neutralized by massive propaganda and deprived of a political perspective, such as Eric Zemmour in France. From the diversity of opinions, which distinguished Europe even in the middle of the last century, there are horns and legs left there, ”Pushkov believes.
In his opinion, Hungary is “an exception that proves the rule.”
“But the Hungarian special reality, separate from the rest of Europe, speaks of one more thing: in modern Europe, only national conservatism is able to ensure freedom of opinion and resist stifling political correctness and ultra-liberal intolerance,” he writes.
The senator believes that liberalism in the 21st century “finally devoured itself, degenerated, turned into a rigid and intolerant social religion.” “This is one of the paradoxes of the 21st century,” Pushkov concludes.
