Member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Alexei Pushkov in his Telegram channel expressed concern about the rapid development of technologies in the field of artificial intelligence.
In his opinion, the widespread craze for AI and the race that has begun in this area does not look quite well thought out.
“Statements like ‘we don’t believe that AI can be dangerous to humans’ sound unconvincing. Unfortunately, in the mindless pursuit of technological progress, as in other areas, people too often start from the best-case scenario, trying to minimize the likely dangerous consequences,” Pushkov wrote.
