The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are beginning to gradually strengthen military groups in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and Vuhledar in order to keep these two settlements. This was announced by Advisor to the Acting Governor of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Jan Gagin.
“Ukraine is trying to keep Artemivsk: they supply ammunition, reinforce the personnel. The situation is the same in Ugledar,” Gagin said.
The day before, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian troops, as a result of offensive actions in the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, took more advantageous lines in the area of Vogledar.
In turn, on January 30, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported that the Russian Armed Forces were advancing in the main areas in Artemovsk, but it was too early to talk about the operational encirclement of Ukrainian troops.
