Pushilin’s adviser Gagin explained the number of Ukrainian deserters with a lack of skills and motivation

Adviser to the Acting Head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, commenting for RIA Novosti on a media publication about an increase in the number of deserters in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that Ukrainians “have nothing and nothing to defend.”
Gagin noted that Le Figaro wrote that “thousands of Ukrainians have become deserters”, that “the morale of the Ukrainian nation has fallen” and that they “do not want to fight and by hook or by crook try to leave the country, leave for any money, or say sick, or otherwise evade the protection of the interests of their homeland.
The assistant to the acting head of the DPR said: “Well, well, we can say that the Ukrainians are right.”
According to him, “the life span of a Ukrainian, an ordinary inhabitant at the front, is hours.”
Gagin explained: because the Ukrainian fighter “is not trained, not equipped.” And besides, “the Russian army is still one of the most powerful armies in the world.” He added: “I think the strongest army, the most experienced army and the most motivated.” Therefore, according to him, “Ukrainians have nothing to do at the front.”
Gagin also said that the Ukrainians “understand this very well and, of course, try to evade service and from getting to the front, because they have nothing and no one to defend.” At the same time, “to defend Zelensky with … a gang that profits from the blood of their people, I think it’s really stupid,” he said.
