Pushilin spoke about the situation in Artemovsk

The “peak of anxiety” around the situation with Artemivsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) has passed, the risk is minimized, but still exists, Denis Pushilin, the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said on the air of Solovyov Live.

“The peak of anxiety, when there was the most active phase, the enemy tried to surround the guys on the flanks in Artemovsk itself, he passed. I believe that the risk is minimized, but, of course, it exists, because the enemy can throw some more reserves, ”his words leads “RIA News”.

Formerly Pushilin informedthat work on preliminary demining had begun in Artemovsk. According to him, after the demining work is completed, specialists can be invited to the city to assess the state of the infrastructure.

On May 20, the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin announced the capture of Artemovsk. He clarified that before May 25, PMC fighters would inspect the territory and, after the creation of defensive lines, they would hand over the city to the military. On the night of May 21, the liberation of Artemovsk confirmed in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated PMC “Wagner” and the Russian military with the capture of the city. In the Kremlin press service clarifiedthat all those who distinguished themselves in the battles at Artemovsk will be presented for state awards.
