Pushilin spoke about the filling of the water pipeline in the DPR

A new conduit in the DPR began to fill with water. This was announced by the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Now the system is being filled, commissioning is underway. Everything is done in record time. What in Soviet times dragged on for years is being done in a matter of months, ”he said (quote according to TASS).
Pushilin also noted that the issue of supplying the region with water remains one of the most important. According to him, the decision to build a water pipeline from the Don will actually be a salvation for the republic.
April 5, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin declaredthat the conduit from the Don River to the DPR is completely ready. Its length is 200 km, the conduit was built in five months.
Interruptions in the centralized water supply of the DPR began in the winter of 2022 due to damage by Ukrainian shelling of the South Donbass water conduit (YDV).
Later, the Donetsk filtering station was de-energized, and on February 24, Ukrainian shelling in the Gorlovka region damaged the Seversky Donets-Donbass (SDD) canal, a key water supply facility in the region. Since that moment, water has been supplied to Donetsk and other settlements of the region according to a special schedule.
