Pushilin: Russian forces are close to the encirclement of Artemovsk

Russian troops are close to the operational encirclement of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), Denis Pushilin, acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, said on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
“Our units are moving forward. There are successes directly in the vicinity of Artemovsk … We can say that the situation of the operational encirclement is quite close, ” leads his words TASS.
Pushilin added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the help of one of the nationalist battalions, tried to counterattack in this direction, but were defeated.
The special military operation began on 24 February. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
On November 9, Pushilin reported on continued heavy fighting in the Pavlovka area. According to him, without the liberation of the village, it will be “extremely difficult” to advance in the direction of Ugledar. The next day, war correspondent Semyon Pegov reported that the Russian Armed Forces had taken control of the village of Pavlovka in the DPR. November 19 Pushilin declared on the advancement of DPR units along the entire line of contact.
