Acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Among other things, preparations for elections to local legislative assemblies were discussed.
“I think we are ready. Of course, security issues are of concern. But, again, the system has been worked out with the power bloc,” Mr. Pushilin said and assured that the authorities were carrying out comprehensive work to ensure security in the elections (quoted by TASS).
The head of the DPR also reported to the president on the redistribution of pensions in the region: after the recalculation, it rose from 13 thousand rubles. up to 19 thousand rubles Vladimir Putin, in turn, pointed to the need for the region to join Russian programs for the training and retraining of medical personnel.

On September 10, on a single voting day, elections to local legislative assemblies will be held in the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, as well as in the DPR and LPR. On the night of August 23, Vladimir Putin met with the Acting Head of the Zaporozhye Region Evgeny Balitsky and acting head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik.
