Acting head of the DPR Pushilin believes that the counteroffensive of Kyiv will not be able to turn the tide
The Ukrainian army is unable to turn the tide on the line of contact, despite the “promoted” counteroffensive, Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin told Russia 24 TV channel.
“We see that the enemy is not able to turn the tide on the battlefield, even despite the notorious counteroffensives, which are widely publicized,” said Denis Pushilin.
At the same time, he stressed that these statements “of course, need to be treated with attention,” but “there are no serious prerequisites for a turning point in the situation on the line of contact,” in his opinion.
In early April, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could begin in the summer. He then said that it would start “soon.” US media reported that the counter-offensive was scheduled for April 30.
At the same time, Russian experts noted that all these statements could be part of a disinformation campaign.
Earlier on Saturday, the head of the Zaporozhye movement “We are together with Russia,” Vladimir Rogov, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would inevitably attempt a counteroffensive in the Zaporozhye region. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasingly inflicting rocket and artillery strikes on the frontline territory of the region, shelling houses, kindergartens, schools and other social infrastructure facilities. In the region, civilians are being evacuated from settlements located in the frontline zone.
